Delivery & Collection
Our mail carriers deliver mail to, and collect mail from, each established mailstop location Monday through Friday. If your office currently has no mail service, you can find easy instructons on how to start a mailstop here.
Covid-19 message: Representatives from departments may contact Receiving@ucsc.edu to pick up and drop off mail between 1pm and 4pm Monday through Friday. Please be aware that EH&S protocol has required us to delay sorting mail for 24hours as a Covid-19 droplet protection measure. You will also be able to pick up your UPS/FedEx/DHL packages. Note: If you normally receive packages at Baskin Receiving or Thimann Receiving, these locations will continue to offer that service.
For Outgoing Mail
Covid-19 message: Interdepartmental Mail can be dropped off at either the H Barn at Receiving between 1pm and 4pm or at Campus Mailservices/Copy Center in Baskin Engineering room 25 or at the Hahn Services loading dock white mailbox or the Baskin Engineering loading dock white mailbox.
For mail/packages that need our assistance at the Baskin Mailroom/Copy Center:
Please be sure to write your mailcode on all outbound mail.
Please separate your inter-office mail from outbound mail and domestic from international mail.
You are welcome to put UPS and FedEx Express packages in your outbound mail bag at your mailstop, or if it’s too large to fit inside the bag, please place next to the bag with a note saying that it should be taken with your mail. If your package is particularly large or heavy, please email us beforehand at campusmail@ucsc.edu to let us know to bring a hand truck. Please note, for FedEx, we only accept FedEx Express packages and we do not currently accept FedEx Ground packages.
Unless your package already has a shipping label on it, please be sure to include a note on the package with shipping instructions (FedEx, UPS, how fast does it need to get there), your mailcode, and your contact information in case we have any questions about your package.
